With graduation coming up soon, seniors are experiencing a mix of emotions as their high school years come to an end. When they started as freshmen, the four years felt like they would go by slowly, but now they reflect on how quickly time passed and the memories they made at Omaha South High School. Seniors interviewed include Leo Ramirez, Joel Atencio, Alyssa Espindola, Arturo Lopez and Fernanda Enamorado.
So how do you feel about your upcoming graduation?
Ramirez: I feel happy about graduation coming up because it means school is coming to an end. On the other hand, my four years of high school soccer will also come to an end. I’m happy to transition into adulthood, but I will definitely miss all the memories I’ve made here.
Atencio: I have mixed feelings about graduating because I am excited for what the future holds, but also nervous. Graduating from high school also means my four years of high school soccer are coming to an end, and I know how much I will miss it. In the end, I am excited about where God’s path will lead me, and I hope for nothing but the best for my future.
Espindola: With graduation coming up, I feel prepared. I am ready to start a new chapter of my life and close this one. I am excited for all the new adventures to come and the joy of receiving my high school diploma. I will forever be grateful for the experiences I had at school.
Lopez: I feel excited and a little nervous about graduation coming up. I am excited because graduating is a huge accomplishment after many years of school. It will be a new chapter in my life, which makes me a little nervous, but I am looking forward to continuing my education in college, learning about something I’m interested in and meeting new people. Even though I’m a bit scared, I know these opportunities and experiences will help me grow.
Enamorado: With graduation coming up, I feel good about it. I am ready to leave and continue school. It is a new chapter I am starting, which is a little nerve-wracking, but I am excited for what the future holds. I have been looking forward to graduation, so I am not really nervous. That is why I feel ready for it.
