Seven journalists from The Tooter were inducted into Quill and Scroll this week, an international honor society for high school journalists.
South High School is one of the founding schools of the society and received its charter in 1922.
Inducted were Destiny Rodriguez Cabeza, Briahna Frye, October Kochen, Hugo Hernandez Lara, Elizabeth Hernandez Ortega, Yaritzel Ramirez Puc and Ian Wilton Rodriguez.
Members were chosen for their active participation in reporting for The Tooter, their dedication to the field of journalism, high journalistic integrity, academic success and willingness to act as a role model for student journalists.
