Lily Mwaura is a senior at Omaha South, and this is her first year in journalism. Mwaura has only attended South for two years now but has made the most of it. Mwaura enjoys playing basketball and plays for Omaha South. Other things she enjoys is listening to music and being around her family. Some of the music she enjoys listening to is Autumn, SoFaygo, NinoPaid and Ken Carson; although her music taste is diverse those are some favorites. In college Mwaura intends to study pre-law with a six-year program then head to law school to become a criminal defense attorney; her college is still undecided as she is still focused on just enjoying her final year of high school. In her free time, Mwaura enjoys watching soccer, her favorite players being Cole Palmer and Jude Bellingham. Mwaura also enjoys travelling and spent three months in Nairobi, Kenya. Mwaura’s main goal in journalism is to pass of course but also to meet people she’s never really spoke to.
