Many Americans love fall above all other seasons. Are you a part of that group? If you are, then there are plenty of activities you can participate in.
South High junior Ashely Alvarez Tovar said that during the fall she loves to hang out with friends and drink coffee to get in the fall feeling and aesthetic.
“My favorite place to go to during the fall is the pumpkin patch; I love to go down the big slides and love riding the go-karts. My whole family gets to bond there and create some fun memories,” she said.
At Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Gretna there is a variety of food to pick from such as burgers, desserts, chicken, and lastly, the most purchased item – turkey legs. Alvarez’s favorite things to eat are “the sweet cinnamon rolls and the yummy caramel-dipped apples.” Alvarez said she has not really eaten much there but plans to next time she goes.
Another junior, Jennifer Ayala- Resendiz, said that during the fall she loves to go to haunted houses with her group of friends; last year, she went to Bellevue Berry and Pumpkin Ranch in Bellevue with her boyfriend and two friends. When asked what her favorite fall holiday is, she said Halloween, and “although I have not dressed up in a while, I always try to.”
Freshman year Ayala did dress up as Jennifer from the movie Jennifer’s Body. While speaking with Ayala, she mentioned that her favorite fall memory was when she and her family would go to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch.
Junior Aylin Lorenzo said she loves to watch Harry Potter and other seasonal movies. “Yeah, I love watching Coraline, and just any fall-related movies to get in the feeling.” Lorenzo just recently got a car and said now that she has a car, “I want to find new places to do activities; I hope to go out more.” Lorenzo also said she loves hanging out with her cousins and hopes to do so this upcoming Halloween.
