Jesus Garcia is a senior at Omaha South High School and has been involved in journalism since his sophomore year. He has a big passion for music and nature and is part of Omaha South’s Green Club. Garcia volunteers when he can to help the club grow and thrive. He strives to write stories about anything related to music and the environment to keep people informed and to motivate them to volunteer. His favorite hobbies are playing electric guitar, watching movies and playing video games. His favorite song is Burden by Opeth, his favorite movie is Army of Darkness, and his favorite video game is The Walking Dead. He also has a pet husky named Maxi that is very friendly and playful. Garcia hopes to one day be able to play music for other people and to keep volunteering to help keep the planet green and healthy.
