Fátima Pichardo is a sophomore at Omaha South High School. Pichardo takes part of cross country, Latino Leaders and journalism. This is her first year of journalism at South High. She enjoys learning about how it works, gathering information with research and people. Pichardo has a dream of becoming a lawyer in the future so she hopes journalism will help with her writing and interviewing skills, meeting people and even possibly understanding the law. Another thing that interests Pichardo is music. She loves everything about it and is open minded to various kinds of music but has a preference of older music. Pichardo has even started learning the piano her freshman year with the class at South High. At South High, Pichardo is dedicated to becoming successful in her academic goals. She hopes to stay motivated and apply herself to what interests and challenges her.
