La Fuerza Modern Dance Company performed with the Omaha Symphony Friday, September 12, for the “Sounds of the City” event.
La Fuerza is the auditioned modern dance group at South High School and focuses on providing professional experiences for students in the area of dance. This opportunity allowed dancers to work with professional musicians and live music. “Child’s Play,” choreographed by South’s lead dance teacher Danielle Laurion, was performed at the event in front of a crowd of more than 150 people.
La Fuerza’s next performance of “Child’s Play” will be at the South O Festival October 11.
