Bad Bunny’s biggest album recently has been his “Un Verano Sin Ti.”
Released in the summer of 2022, “Un Verano Sin Ti” is my favorite album by Bad Bunny because it has many popular songs that are catchy and put me in the mood for summer.
“Un Verano Sin Ti” is also his most popular album as well as “YHLQMDLG.” “Un Verano Sin Ti” was the number one album on the Billboard 200 for 13 weeks. It was also his top selling album for 14 weeks.
When the album came out, the first song that became well known in North America was “Titi Me Preguto” which landed at fifth place on the Billboard Hot 100. On the Billboard Global 200, “Me Porto Bonito” featuring Chencho Corleone landed at second place.
I agree with the placement. Although “Titi Me Preguto” is a good song, I think “Me Porto Bonito” is a better song. It has a very good collaboration with Corleone, and their voices match the type of song Bunny wants to create.
Most songs on Bunny’s album speak to issues going on in the world. Bunny makes music and puts worldly problems in them to make people listen and gain awareness of issues.
According to the Spanish language magazine People En Espanol, Bad Bunny set the record straight on what the song “Andrea” is about. Many believed it was about a girl named Andrea who was killed by her boyfriend, but it was just a song about domestic violence to which Bunny needed to add a name.
“Andrea” is a different song compared to “Me Porto Bonito;” it is less upbeat and a very calm, soothing song.
Other calm songs are “Un Coco,” “Otro Atardecer” Featuring The Marias, “Un Verano Sin Ti” and “Ojitos Lindos.”
Some songs with the same beat or feeling of “Me Porto Bonito” are “Un Ratito,” “Party” and “Neverita.”
All of the songs end up having their own beat in the end which gives them that summer feeling.
My overall favorites, no matter the type of vibe they give off, are “Andrea,” “Otro Atardecer,” “Un Coco,” “Un Verano Sin Ti” and “Moscow Mule.”
This album is a very good summer album, and with the summer coming up, I recommend listening to it. Bad Bunny might not be your favorite artist, but he knows how to set the vibe for summer.
