Math department curriculum specialist Lindsay Anderson would like to introduce everyone to this week’s Packer Pet of the Week, Sky!
Sky is an Axolotl. Some facts: The axolotl is a salamander that is closely related to the tiger salamander. It is unique among amphibians because it reaches adulthood without undergoing metamorphosis. Instead of moving to land, axolotls remain aquatic and gilled throughout their entire lives. This is called neoteny, or paedomorphism. To see your pet featured, please send a picture of your pet, their name and a fun fact to [email protected].
